How long will you need my vehicle for?

This depends on the nature of the damage. Factors such as the type of vehicle and the availability of parts will impact on the length of time it takes to repair your vehicle, however we always aim to have your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible. The more common the car the more likely the parts will be readily available. As cars have become more complex, it is more common now to uncover unseen damage during the repair process. This means added time to order parts and make repairs. We always give you our best estimate of the time required when we first write your estimate. During the repair process we will keep you informed of the progress of repairs and of any unforeseen matters that may cause a hold-up.

How is payment handled if someone else hits me?

In this case, you are considered the claimant and are entitled to restoration of your car to pre-accident condition. If the owner of the other vehicle involved has insurance covering your vehicle, you will first need to organize estimates for the damage to your car. These estimates should be forwarded to the other party together with a covering letter requesting that they pass them onto their insurance company for consideration. You should then be contacted by their insurance company to arrange assessment of the damage to your car and suitable arrangements made to have your vehicle repaired or a settlement reached.
